The next edition of Kentucky Life features Rough River State R esort Park, silk artist Laverne Zabielski and Dovie's Restaurant. The program, hosted by Dave Shuffett, airs Nov. 17 at 8 /7 p.m. CT on KET1; Sunday, Nov. 18 at 4:30/3:30 p.m. CT on KET1; and Sunday, Nov. 18 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET2.

First, Dave tours Rough River State Resort Park. Established in 1961, the park sits alongside the reservoir creat ed by Rough River Dam in Grayson County. The 637 acre park contains nature trails; areas for fishing, camping, boating and golf; a lodge; and private cabins.

Next, viewers meet Zabielski, an artist who strives to create what she calls "wearable art." Zabielski dyes silk and sews strips together to create unique works of art that also serve as jackets, dresses, shawls, capes and more. She does most of her work on her picturesque Wayne County farm. Her pieces appear in local boutiques, including Lexington's j. studio, and art galleries across the country.

Then, Kentucky Life visits Dovie's in Tompkinsville for one-of-a-kind deep fried hamburgers that have been made the same way for decades  Founded in 1940 by Dovie Moore, the tiny restaurant now serves up to 1,000 burgers a day .

Also, Dave and his canine sidekick, Charlie, have unveiled new Paw Pals online . This popular Web page, www.ket.org/kentuckylife/pawpals, features pet photos and stories from viewers.
