Kentucky Life “Christmas 2007” features an eccentric Kentuckian’s Christmas lights display, a tour of the Rosemary Clooney House in Augusta and holiday music from Elizabethtown’s Heartland Dulcimer Club. The program airs Saturday, Dec. 22 at 8/7 p.m. CT and Sunday, Dec. 23 at 4:30/3:30 p.m. CT on KET1 and Sunday, Dec. 23 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET2. Dave Shuffett hosts from Once Upon a Stocking in Farmers, Ky., where skilled craftspeople make Christmas stockings by hand.

First, Dave heads to Marion County for a dazzling display of holiday lights.

Next, former Lt. Gov. Steve and Heather French Henry, proprietors of the Rosemary Clooney House, lead viewers on a special tour of the home turned museum. The museum exhibits include childhood photos from Clooney’s years in Maysville and the largest collection of White Christmas memorabilia in the world.

Then, viewers can enjoy Christmas music from the Heartland Dulcimer Club. The club’s mission is to preserve and pass on the sounds of their traditional instruments.

Also, Dave and his canine sidekick, Charlie, have unveiled new Paw Pals online. This popular Web page, www.ket.org/kentuckylife/pawpals, features pet photos and stories from viewers.

Kentucky Life is a KET production, produced by Joy Flynn. Segment producers for this program are Shuffett, Nick Helton and Brandon Wickey. Some Kentucky Life programs are now available for on-demand videostream viewing at www.ket.org/kentuckylife.
