KET presents traditional caroling against a Victorian backdrop in Old-Fashioned Holiday Celebration of Song. The program, featuring University of Kentucky Opera Theatre vocalists, airs Saturday, Dec. 22 at 5/4 p.m. CT on KET1 and Tuesday, Dec. 25 at 8:30/7:30 a.m. CT on KET2.
Held at Triangle Park adjacent to Victorian Square in Lexington, the program begins with a fanfare celebration by the Victorian Square Drum & Bugle Corps and Brass Quintet, the Lexington Singers Children’s Choir and a multitude of holiday singers.
The holiday celebration continues inside the inviting warmth of the Victorian Square Atrium. The evening of song features UK Opera Theatre vocalists and the Victorian Square Orchestra with selections from Handel’s Messiah as well as a community sing-along of holiday favorites.
Old-Fashioned Holiday Celebration of Song is produced by Alltech. More information about KET programming and education services, as well as how to support KET, can be found at www.ket.org.
