“The Best of One to One” revisits 2007 interviews

Host Bill Goodman looks back at some memorable moments from the past year on “The Best of One to One,airing Sunday, Dec. 30 at 2/1 p.m. CT on KET1 and Tuesday, Jan. 1 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2. Some of the highlights include:

Photojournalist and filmmaker Molly Bingham discusses being in Washington on 9/11 –– she took the first photographs of the Pentagon after the attack.
Ed McMahon of the Tonight Show and Star Search discusses his career and longevity in the entertainment industry.

Bill Samuels Jr., president of Maker’s Mark, discusses his family's history in the world of bourbon making, which dates back to 1780, and the innovative marketing techniques with which he promotes the distillery’s contemporary products.

Internationally renowned mystery author Sue Grafton talks about her “alphabet series” starring detective Kinsey Millhone, from “A” Is for Alibi, published in 1993, to “T” Is for Trespass, which was released this December.

Tim Russert, host of NBC’s Meet the Press as well as his own weekly interview program, discusses his life and career. Before joining NBC News, Russert served as counselor for New York Gov. Mario Cuomo and was chief of staff to U.S. Sen. Daniel Patrick Moynihan of New York.

Breathitt County’s Martin Douthitt, a 61-year-old businessman and passionate mountain climber, talks his experiences climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Africa and Mount Vincent in Antarctica. Douthitt’s training and preparation for those climbs included trips to Kentucky’s Red River Gorge.
