College should be a time of excitement, growth and discovery, but for many it can be a source of great stress as students and parents try to find a way to pay for it. Fortunately, there is help available in the form of the many financial aid options.
To provide students and parents with answers to pressing questions about financial aid, KET presents College Financial Aid Call-In 2008, a one-hour, live program airing Wednesday, Jan. 30 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1.
The program features a panel of financial aid representatives from public and private Kentucky colleges and universities who provide information on the availability of scholarships, grants and other financial aid and offer tips on applying for student loans. Experts appearing on the program are Bryan Erslan, the Kentucky Association of Student Financial Aid Administrators president and financial aid director at Berea College; Rebecca Gilpatrick, student aid branch manager for the Kentucky Higher Education Assistance Authority; Runan Pendergrast, chief financial aid director at Bluegrass Community and Technical College; and Charles Vinson, director of financial aid at Murray State University.
In addition to the panel, personnel from college financial aid offices staff the phone bank.
College Financial Aid Call-In 2008 is a KET production, produced and directed by Nick Helton.
