Kentucky Muse presents a special treat for mystery lovers with “Murder, They Wrote,” featuring the first International Mystery Writers’ Festival held at Owensboro’s RiverPark Center last June. The program airs Tuesday, Jan. 29 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1 and Sunday, Feb. 3 at 10/9 p.m. CT on KET2.Viewers experience the drama, suspense and fun of the festival with interviews and behind-the-scenes footage. The program follows several plays — including an award-winning play by Kentucky native Elizabeth Orndorff — from rehearsals to final presentation.
Orndorff’s stage debut, titled “Death by Darkness,” is set in 1841 in the wondrous Star Chamber of Kentucky’s Mammoth Cave. The characters are led on a mysterious journey into the depths of the Earth, where they are confronted with murder, revenge and a world unlike any they have ever seen.
Kentucky Muse “Murder, They Wrote” is a KET production, produced by Guy Mendes. Series producers are Mendes and Teresa Day. Nancy Carpenter is executive producer.
