Gov. Steve Beshear will deliver his State of the Commonwealth Address before a joint session of the House and Senate on Monday, Jan. 14 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET1. The speech will also be available live online and archived at www.ket.org/legislature.Following the governor’s address on KET1, Kentucky Tonight host Bill Goodman and guests discuss the evening’s proceedings. Scheduled guests are Jennifer Moore, chair of the Kentucky Democratic Party; Steve Robertson, chair of the Republican Party of Kentucky; Bob Babbage, a lobbyist, columnist and former Kentucky secretary of state and state auditor; John David Dyche, a lawyer, columnist and KET election night political observer. Viewers with questions and comments can participate in the live broadcast by telephone at 1-800-494-7605.
Then, on Tuesday, Jan. 29, KET will provide live coverage, online and on KET1, of the Governor’s Budget Address.
