Literary minded romance fans can delve into another delicious tale as Masterpiece continues “The Complete Jane Austen” with an all-new adaptation of Mansfield Park. It airs Sunday, Jan. 27 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1 and Thursday, Jan. 31 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET2. Actress Gillian Anderson is Masterpiece’s new host.

“Mansfield Park,” which features Austen’s most complex plot, stars Billie Piper (“Doctor Who,” “The Ruby in the Smoke”) as Fanny Price, who goes to live with prosperous relatives at Mansfield Park. Fanny navigates a labyrinth of intrigues and affairs among the occupants of the house, while her cousin Edmund Bertram (Blake Ritson, “Inspector Lynley Mysteries”) remains her stalwart confidant. It also stars Jemma Redgrave (“Bramwell”) as Fanny’s observant aunt.

Upcoming features in “The Complete Jane Austen” include “Miss Austen Regrets,” a new biopic of the author’s life, “Pride and Prejudice” starring Colin Firth, “Emma” starring Kate Beckinsale and “Sense and Sensibility” featuring David Morrissey as heroic Colonel Brandon.
