KET’s election coverage continues this year with primary candidate forums, leading up to a live election night broadcast.KET has invited all candidates on the primary ballot in contested Kentucky races for the U.S. House and U.S. Senate to participate in live, televised forums. Each forum airs live on KET1, with a web simulcast, and will be archived online at www.ket.org/election. Forums air Mondays, April 21 through May 12.
The forums are scheduled as follows:
4th District Republicans, Monday, April 21 at 8/7 p.m. CT
3rd District Republicans, Monday, April 28 at 8/7 p.m. CT
2nd District Democrats, Monday, May 5 at 8/7 p.m. CT
6th District Republicans, Monday, May 5 at 8:30/7:30 p.m. CT
U.S. Senate Democrats, Monday, May 12 at 7/6 p.m. CT
U.S. Senate Republicans, Monday, May 12 at 8:30/7:30 p.m. CT * (time approximate)
Primary 2008: The Vote, airing on election day, Tuesday, May 20 at 9/8 p.m. CT on KET1, features live returns and analysis. Beginning at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET1, viewers can find returns at the bottom of the screen during The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer.
