NewsHour correspondent to comment on presidential election at KET

In celebration of KET's 40th anniversary, television news journalist Judy Woodruff of PBS' NewsHour with Jim Lehrer will be the featured speaker during an October 22nd dinner at KET's Lexington studios.Having covered political and other news on PBS, CNN and NBC for more than three decades, Woodruff has been working most recently with Lehrer providing coverage of the 2008 Democratic and GOP national conventions and the presidential debates. Woodruff will offer her timely, insider's perspective on this historic presidential race as well as other national issues.
"This event provides a rare opportunity to talk with a national political journalist about the most historic presidential race of our time," said Michele Ripley, president of KET's Commonwealth Fund. "We are delighted that Judy Woodruff will be joining KET's celebration of four decades of service to the Commonwealth."
A reception begins at 6 p.m., with dinner at 7 p.m. Individual tickets are $100 each and reserved tables for eight are $1,000, which includes recognition on the event program and on air, plus other benefits. Seating is limited and early reservations are suggested. Proceeds from the event support KET programs and services.
