The next edition of Louisville Life visits Actors Theatre to meet one of its new stars, highlights an after-school fitness program and more. The program, hosted by Candyce Clifft, airs Thursday, Nov. 13 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2; Saturday, Nov. 15 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET1; and Sunday, Nov. 16 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2 .Actor and Louisville native William Mapother (also known as Tom Cruise's cousin ) recently starred in an Actors Theatre production. Mapother talks to Louisville Life about acting, including a role on the popular ABC drama Lost, and about life in his hometown.
Next, Mark Walston and Doc Manning take Louisville Life behind the scenes at Actors Theatre, where viewers get a look at the unique prop warehouse. Walston and Manning organize thousands of items to stage murders, melodrama and holiday mayhem.
Then, Louisville Life spotlights the University of Louisville's Fit -4- Me program, in which U of L female athletes work with middle -school girls to improve their nutrition and fitness and encourage healthy habits. The Fit-4-Me program is managed by Louisville's Women 4 Women organization and sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield.
Next, Sheldon Berman, superintendent of Jefferson County Public Schools, talks to Candyce about creating a positive community environment that allows students to thrive.
Finally, in honor of National Aviation Month, Louisville Life presents a brief history of local aviation achievements, including the significance of Louisville's Bowman Field.
