Visit the One to One with Bill Goodman site: www.ket.org/onetoone/
On the next One to One, Bill speaks with David Jones, co- founder and former CEO of Humana, about his background and the history of the company. The program airs Sunday, Jan. 11 at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1 and Tuesday, Jan. 13 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.

A Louisville native, Jones was the second of six children. He talks about growing up in Louisville during the Depression, becoming Outstanding Senior at the University of Louisville and the "creation story" of Humana. He discusses his friends and mentors, including his wife, Betty; Humana co-founder Wendell Cherry; and the late Peter Drucker, an internationally known management consultant and author.

Jones describes how Humana grew from a small group of nursing homes into the multi-billion dollar company it is today. He also discusses the Humana Festival of New American Plays; the Romanian Assistance Project, in which Jones and hundreds of other volunteers have visited Romanian hospitals, clinics and orphanages to provide assistance and training; and what he believes is the secret to a successful Commonwealth -- education.

One to One with Bill Goodman is a KET production, produced by Goodman and Cindy Asher. Following the broadcast, One to One is available for on-demand videostream viewing at www.ket.org/onetoone and podcasting at www.ket.org/rss.
