Resources from Job Jam, a seminar for people who are out of work and looking for ways to jump-start their job search, are now available online at www.ket.org/jobjam. Hosted by 84WHAS Radio ' s Francene, Job Jam recently took place in Louisville.
Job Jam speakers explained how to use technology, the Web and modern networking to land new jobs, along with e-mail, telephone, résumé and networking secrets that lead to interviews. They also shared ways to manage money and a mortgage while looking for work and where to find affordable health insurance when the boss is no longer buying.
Videos of these talks are available free through KET's Web site. Also, several speakers' PowerPoint presentations and hand-out materials -- including résumé tips, sample letters, money management help and more -- are available for downloading.
