The next Louisville Life lets it ride at the French Lick Resort Casino, admires the loveable merchandise at a locally-owned business and much more. The program, hosted by Candyce Clifft, airs Thursday, April 16 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, April 19 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2.Once called the Monte Carlo of America, French Lick, Ind., returned to its roots in late 2006 with the opening of the French Lick Resort Casino. Louisville Life explores the fascinating history of this Southern Indiana tourist attraction, including visits from gangsters and presidents, and looks at the resort's unique marketing techniques, designed to draw everyone from food aficionados to film lovers.
Next, Louisville Life visits Sandy's Pet Shop, a family-owned business specializing in live coral reef aquariums. For almost 30 years, this Louisville fixture has helped thousands of its customers find animal companions.
Also, the program profiles a Louisville-born jazz great, the late Lionel Hampton, in honor of his April 20 birthday.
Then, John Walczak, executive director of the Louisville Zoo, tells Candyce about the zoo's 40th anniversary celebration .
