Speaker, consultant, author and businessman Phil Wilkins discusses becoming a successful entrepreneur on the next edition of Connections with Renee Shaw. The program airs Friday, May 1 at 4/3 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, May 3 at 1:30/ 1 2:30 p.m. CT on KET1.Wilkins discusses managing three separate businesses: Diverse Wealth Systems, a training and consulting organization; four McDonald's franchises; and a real estate investment company. He talks about what inspired him to leave his full-time corporate job to become his own boss, and he explains the steps he took to achieve that goal.
Wilkins also discusses his book, Own Your Business, Own Your Life! 21 Strategies for Becoming a Wealthy Entrepreneur, which contains information about finding a balance between life and work, how to create a successful business plan and financial literacy.
Finally, Wilkins talks about his 5-year-old son, Jaden, who recently appeared on t he national morning talk show Live with Regis and Kelly, impressing the audience with his extensive knowledge of presidential trivia. Wilkins reveals how Jaden learned so much about American presidents.
