Richard Yamarone, a Wall Street economist, analyst and author, is the next guest on One to One with Bill Goodman. The program airs Sunday, May 10 at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1 and Tuesday, May 12 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.
Yamarone, vice president and director of economic research at Argus Research Company, has more than two decades of experience analyzing economic trends. He has acted a s a financial advisor to several U.S. corporations and often provides comments and analysis for the national news media.
On the program, Yamarone discusses the current economic downturn, including how it came about and why he believes the economy will take a long time to rebound. He discusses his book, The Trader's Guide to Key Economic Indicators, an overview of economic indicators, how they are constructed, what their purpose is and how they work. And, he shares his personal "Fabulous 5" indicators of economic recovery.
Yamarone also talks about the media's role in providing information on the economy, explains why he believes some businesses should be allowed to fail, and then outlines his economic forecast for the next year.
