The next Louisville Life prepares for Father's Day, profiles the late Phyllis Knight, visits the Highland Renaissance Festival in Eminence, Ky., and more. The program, hosted by Candyce Clifft, airs Thursday, May 21 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2; Saturday, May 23 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET1 and Sunday, May 24 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2.

Louisville Life celebrates the approach of Father's Day with a nod to some well-known local fathers, including local radio personality and father of two, Terry Meiners. Meiners shares his favorite things about fatherhood and recalls giving his own father, who has 49 grandchildren, a very special birthday present.

Then, the program turns the spotlight on the River Cities Community Sailing Program, a non-profit community sailing club for both adults and children. The club offers sailing instruction and events, including free learn-to-sail clinics, a sailing time-share program and an annual Captain's Quarters Regatta.

Louisville Life also remembers Knight, a fixture on local television for more than five decades and a strong supporter of the WHAS Crusade for Children. The program celebrates Knight's life as the city prepares for WHAS' 56th Crusade.

Candyce then interviews Paddy DeGeorge, exhibit and special event coordinator for the Frazier International History Museum. DeGeorge discuss es the museum's upcoming exhibit on Louisville's Fontaine Ferry Park.

Finally, Louisville Life visits the annual summer Highland Renaissance Festival. The festival includes artisans, live jousting, jugglers, dancers, acrobats and actors portraying life as it was during the 14th century. Themed weekends abound, including "Masquerade," "Celtic," "Lords and Ladies Romance" and "Tournament" weekends.

Louisville Life is a KET production, produced and directed by Gary Pahler. Jayne McClew is producer/writer; associate producer is Kelli Brodersen. More information about Louisville Life, including streaming video, is available at www.ket.org/loulife.
