The next guest on One to One with Bill Goodman is Janet Holloway, co-founder and executive director of Women Leading Kentucky, an organization that promotes women's leadership in the state through awards, scholarships, roundtable luncheons and an annual Women's Business and Leadership Conference. The program airs Sunday, May 17 at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1 and Tuesday, May 19 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.

Holloway talks about how she started Women Leading Kentucky and how the organization creates opportunities for women to lead, learn and achieve. She also lists several issues that may block women from starting their own businesses or advancing in their careers, including financing and personal confidence.

Holloway discusses finding keynote speakers for the Women's Business and Leadership Conference who both inspire and connect with the audience. One of the speakers at this year's conference is Christie Hefner, former CEO of Playboy Enterprises and one of Forbes Magazine's 100 Most Powerful Women in 2005, 2006 and 2007.

Holloway also discusses personal qualities that assist women in leadership roles, the importance of networking and building relationships with community members, and the gender gap in national and state wages.
