Crane |
On the next One to One with Bill Goodman, Bill speaks with Mary Crane, a guest speaker at Women Leading Kentucky's 10th annual conference and a former lobbyist and White House chef who now teaches etiquette to "Generation Y" employees. The program airs Tuesday, July 7 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.
Crane discusses her background, including her years as a Washington lobbyist and her decision to pursue her life long interest in food and wine. After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America, Crane worked at the White House as an assistant chef. She talks about her experiences cooking for the commander in chief.
The consultant also discusses the new generation entering the workforce, a group of people, she says, that are accustomed to constant praise and adulation. Crane also shares her advice to boomer-aged bosses looking to recruit, motivate and retain today's best workers.
One to One with Bill Goodman is a KET production, produced by Goodman and Cindy Asher. Following the broadcast, One to One is available for on-demand videostream viewing at www.ket.org/onetoone and podcasting at www.ket.org/rss.
