Sixth generation rancher and farmer Trent Loos -- whose daily radio program about rural America, Loos Tales, has a listening audience of four million and can be heard on more than 100 stations across the country -- is the next guest on One to One with Bill Goodman. Recorded at Alltech's 25th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium, the program airs Sunday, July 19 at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1 and Tuesday, July 21 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.

Loos discusses the importance of producing food domestically and understanding the process of turning natural resources into consumable goods. He encourages consumers to learn how their food ends up at the grocery store and to get to know the people and the system responsible for the production of food.

Loos also talks about his radio and television career and how he uses entertainment to educate and inform his audience. Other topics include changes in the agriculture industry, health benefits of eating meat and who he believes are the two most important figures for the country's future.

One to One with Bill Goodman is a KET production, produced by Goodman and Cindy Asher. Following the broadcast, One to One is available for on-demand videostream viewing at www.ket.org/onetoone and podcasting at www.ket.org/rss.
