Chinese folk dancer and Lexington resident Cheryl Pan demonstrates some of her best moves on the next Connections with Renee Shaw, airing Friday, Aug. 7 at 4/3 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, Aug. 9 at 1:30/12:30 p.m. CT on KET1.Pan, who has trained extensively in classic Chinese folk dances for many years, is also a dance instructor. She specializes in teaching people of all ages different Chinese ethnic dances, some of which are rarely seen in the U.S.
Pan choreographs and directs many traditional Chinese dances and more than 20 styles of ethnic dances, representing Tibetan, Mongolian, Uygurian, Korean, Dai, Yi, Bai and Miao people.
