Mary Shelman, director of the Harvard Agribusiness Program, identifies the issues, themes, policies and players that are influencing and changing the vertical food chain on the next One to One with Bill Goodman. The program, recorded at Alltech's 25th International Animal Health and Nutrition Symposium, airs Sunday, Aug. 2 at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1 and Tuesday, Aug. 4 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2.

A Kentucky native, Shelman grew up in the agricultural industry, working with her father in both his farm-equipment dealership and his grain-farming operation. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering with High Distinction from the University of Kentucky and later earned an MBA with Distinction from Harvard Business School.

Shelman's special research interest focuses on the forces of change shaping global agribusiness. She is a member of the editorial board of the International Food and Agribusiness Management Review and serves as a board member of the International Foods and Agribusiness Management Association.
