The Cumberland Gap Connection performs next on Jubilee. The band brings together the songwriting, vocal and instrumental talents of four young bluegrass musicians from Kentucky and Tennessee, delivering an exceptional performance of traditionally inspired, original tunes at the 2008 Renfro Valley Bluegrass Music Festival. The program airs Wednesday, Aug. 19 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET1 and Saturday, Aug. 22 at 11/10 p.m. CT on KET2.The current lineup includes Pike County residents Mike Bentley (lead singer/guitarist) and Rod Smith (banjo), and Tennesseans Bryan Turner (bass) and Clint Hurd (mandolin).
Jubilee is a KET produc tion that spotlights outstanding Kentucky music festivals. The program is broadcast statewide on KET and distributed to public television stations nationwide.
