The next Louisville Life lets it ride at the French Lick Resort Casino, admires the loveable merchandise at a locally-owned business and much more. The program, hosted by Candyce Clifft, airs Thursday, Aug. 20 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2 and Sunday, Aug. 23 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2.
Louisville Life explores the fascinating history of Southern Indiana's French Lick Resort Casino, including visits from celebrities and presidents, and looks at the resort's unique marketing techniques, designed to draw everyone from food aficionados to film lovers. Next, Louisville Life visits Sandy's Pet Shop, a family-owned business that sells a wide variety of pets and animals, including live coral reef aquariums. For almost 30 years, this Louisville fixture has helped thousands of its customers find animal companions. Also, the program profiles a Louisville-born jazz great, the late Lionel Hampton. Then, John Walczak, executive director of the Louisville Zoo, tells Candyce about the zoo's 40th anniversary celebration. Finally, Louisville Life looks at two companies providing energy solutions for Louisvillians: Ourstar, which assists individuals to use energy more effectively in their homes, and Earthwell, which helps companies reduce their operating expenses related to energy costs. Louisville Life is a KET production, produced and directed by Gary Pahler. Jayne McClew is producer/writer; associate producer is Kelli Brodersen.
