Two Million Minutes executive producer Bob Compton returns to One to One with Bill Goodman to share his thoughts on education in America, specifically how chronically low scores in math and science are impacting the current and future U.S. economy. The program, taped at the Kentucky Chamber's Economic Summit and Annual Meeting in Louisville, airs Sunday, Aug. 23 at 1 p.m./noon CT on KET1 and Tuesday, Aug. 25 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2. Compton previously appeared on the program in 2008.Two Million Minutes (the number of minutes in one's life during four years of high school) follows six students, a boy and a girl from India, China and the U.S., to find out how they allocate their time during their senior year. The film addresses what many are calling a crisis for U.S. schools regarding low scores in math and science.
Compton discusses the successes and setbacks of the American education system since his last appearance on the program.
