The Grascals, riding a wave of critical acclaim from their #1 album, Keep On Walkin', offer up an exciting performance of traditionally inspired yet cutting-edge bluegrass at the 2008 Renfro Valley Bluegrass Music Festival on the next Jubilee. The program airs Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 8/7 p.m. CT on KET1 and Sunday, Sept. 5 at 11/10 p.m. CT on KET2.The Grascals formed in 2004 and quickly gained notoriety, winning multiple music awards and nominations, including the International Bluegrass Music Association's Entertainer of the Year award in 2006 and 2007. The band, known for its innovative mingling of bluegrass and country music, perform s a well-versed array of classic tunes and originals. The Grascals' lineup at the time of the festival included Leitchfield native Jimmy Mattingly on fiddle; Aaron McDaris, banjo; Jamie Johnson, vocals/guitar; Terry Smith, vocals/bass; Terry Eldredge vocals/guitar; and Danny Roberts, mandolin.
