Visit the Louisville Life site: www.ket.org/louisvillelife/
The next Louisville Life strolls through the city's vast green spaces, learns the heroic history of the structure that now serves as the Belle of Louisville's ticket office and much more. The program, hosted by Candyce Clifft, airs Thursday, Sept. 10 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2; Saturday, Sept. 12 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET1; and Sunday, Sept. 13 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2.

Frederick Law Olmsted, often referred to as the "Father of American Landscape Architecture," designed Central Park in New York City, but many believe the defining park system of his career is in Louisville. Louisville Life learns about the mission of the Olmsted Park Conservancy.

The Belle of Louisville's ticket office has an impressive, heroic past. Originally known as Life Saving Station #10, the structure had a remarkable role in river rescue. Louisville Life dives into the stories of the station's crews and how the unique national historic landmark is being preserved for future generations.

Next, drivers may never give thought to the names behind Louisville's busiest roadways and bridges, so Louisville Life profiles Gene Snyder, Sherman Minton and Henry Watterson.

Back at the studio, Candyce interviews Greg Roberts, president and CEO of the Muhammad Ali Center. A Washington, D.C., native, Roberts formerly held positions with the Magic Johnson Foundation in Los Angeles and the Baltimore Education Scholarship Trust.

Finally, the program highlights the Louisville Astronomical Society. The club holds monthly "star parties" and helps Boy Scouts earn their astronomy badges, among other star-related activities.

Louisville Life is a KET production, produced and directed by Gary Pahler. Jayne McClew is producer/writer; associate producer is Kelli Brodersen. More information about Louisville Life, including streaming video, is available at www.ket.org/loulife.
