Viewers can spend a little spooky time with Louisville Life this Halloween as the series meets a ghost hunter and more on the program airing Thursday, Oct. 29 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. CT on KET2, Saturday, Oct. 31 at 7/6 p.m. CT on KET and Sunday, Nov. 1 at noon/11 a.m. CT on KET2. Candyce Clifft hosts.

First, the soon to be 8-year-old Powell quintuplets play, while viewers learn from their parents the joy and challenges of raising multiple children. When they were born Oct. 28, 2001, the five children, two boys and three girls, each fit in the palm of a hand. By their first Christmas all five were able to go home from Norton Suburban Hospital, where the staff nicknamed their NICU room the “Quintensive Care Unit.”

Next, Louisville Life celebrates the 85th anniversary of Mike Linnig's Restaurant, which proclaims it has been “serving the best seafood since 1925.” With a menu featuring fried fish, shrimp, frog legs, pan-fried oysters and turtle soup, the restaurant was established when Mike Linnig and his wife started a roadside stand selling fresh fruit and vegetables. It survived the 1937 flood, the Great Depression, World War II and a fire and now is being run by a third generation.

Locals know that bridge when they come to it: known as the Second Street Bridge, the Clark Memorial Bridge (originally called the Municipal) is currently the only regional Ohio River bridge that is open to pedestrians.

Then Candyce interviews Keith Age, president of the Louisville Ghost Hunters Society; and the program concludes with a look at the art cars at the Kentucky Museum of Art and Craft.

Louisville Life is a KET production, produced and directed by Gary Pahler. Jayne McClew is producer/writer; associate producer is Kelli Brodersen.
