KET’s Kentucky Collectibles, hosted by Dave Shuffett and Amy Hess, continues its second season of sharing Kentucky’s culture through the stories of Kentuckians and their prized possessions. The next Kentucky Collectibles premieres Sunday, Nov. 17 at 3:30/2:30 p.m. on KET and Monday Nov. 18 at 9/8 p.m. on KET2.
In the episode, appraisers examine limited-edition etchings and a collection of Nardi jewelry purchased in Italy in 1969 that now has a stunning price tag.
Also on this program, Hess sits down with Genevieve Lacer and Libby Howard, friends and antique collectors who have written and published a comprehensive book on Kentucky antiques. Collecting Kentucky 1790-1860 features 360 pages and 600 illustrations detailing Kentucky-made furniture, silver, textiles and more. The segment showcases Lacer and Howard’s private collections and tells their story of how they began collecting.
Kentucky Collectibles is a KET production, produced by Erin Milburn Lowry.
