The next Louisville Life, hosted by Candyce Clifft, features Grasshoppers’ fresh produce and meat, the Louisville Nature Center, Riverside, The Farnsley-Moremen Landing, and the GE Foundation. The program premieres Saturday, June 1 at 7/6 p.m. on KET and Thursday, June 6 at 7:30/6:30 p.m. on KET2.
Grasshoppers offers seasonal vegetables and fruits, meats raised without added hormones or steroids, goat and cow cheeses, and dairy products from more than 70 local family farms and artisans in Kentucky and Southern Indiana.
Next, Louisville Life visits the Louisville Nature Center, located in the middle of Derby City. Among the attractions to discover are wildlife exhibits, nature trails and several ponds and gardens.
The program then visits Riverside, The Farnsley-Moremen Landing. The 176-year-old Farnsley-Moremen House is the centerpiece of the 300-acre historic site, which exists to promote, preserve, restore and interpret historic farm life on the Ohio River.
The program also features an interview with Bob Corcoran, president and chairman of the GE Foundation, the philanthropic organization of GE.
