Fronting his own band, The Wolf Gang, former Howlin' Wolf sideman Eddie Shaw cranks out an impressive and explosive set of blues on the next Jubilee. A last minute addition to the 1999 W. C. Handy Blues Festival in Henderson, Ky., Eddie Shaw and The Wolf Gang wow the crowd of blues fanatics.Shaw made a name for himself with a gritty sax tone that perfectly suited the raspy vocals of The Wolf. His band also features Howlin' Wolf bass player, Shorty Gilbert.
Shaw has played with such legendary performers as Muddy Waters, Magic Sam and Otis Rush. The bluesman's confidence and dues-paid-in-full ability fuels an electric evening of blues on Jubilee.
