In separate interviews taped shortly before the 2006 Fancy Farm Picnic, traditional kickoff of the election “season,” Democratic Party Chairman Jerry Lundergan and Republican Party Chairman Darrell D. Brock Jr. give their perspectives on how the 2006 legislative elections and 2007 gubernatorial race are shaping up. Each also talks about his own interest in party politics and his path to the position of state party leader.
