One to One with Bill Goodman:
Wally Pagan

aired August 17 and 19, 2007

Wally Pagan, president of Southbank Partners, discusses economic and tourism development projects in Northern Kentucky with host Bill Goodman on this edition of One to One.

Southbank, formed in 1996, is a nonprofit coalition of governments, businesses, and civic organizations that works to promote economic development and region-wide cooperation along the south shore of the Ohio River—specifically the cities of Covington, Newport, Bellevue, Fort Thomas, and Dayton. The organization met one of its first big goals when an abandoned railroad bridge was converted into the Purple People pedestrian bridge between Newport and Cincinnati. Current and future initiatives range from condominium developments and mass transit projects to a four-mile Riverwalk tying major riverfront attractions together that will also involve riverbank stabilization and flood control components.

Pagan, former city manager of Covington, was working in the telecommunications industry when he was tapped to head Southbank Partners.
