U.S. Rep. Geoff Davis, who serves the 4th District in Northern Kentucky, is Bill Goodman’s guest on this edition of One to One. Davis, a Republican, discusses his military career, starting his own business, and his time in Congress.
During his Army career, Davis served as an assault helicopter flight commander in the 82nd Airborne Division, then ran U.S. Army aviation operations for peace enforcement between Israel and Egypt. He is also a former Army ranger and senior parachutist.
In 1992, Davis started his own business, a consulting firm specializing in lean manufacturing and high-technology systems integration. During his conversation with Goodman, he talks about how that experience as a small-business owner has helped him in Congress. He also discusses serving on the Armed Services and Financial Services committees as well as several subcommittees.
