In a special one-hour edition of One to One, host Bill Goodman visits the Clark County home of then Gov.-elect Steve Beshear and his wife, Jane, for a conversation on topics ranging from family life to state politics.
Beshear, a former lieutenant governor and attorney general who took office as governor on December 11, 2007, talks about growing up in Dawson Springs and his early political career. He also discusses some of his plans and hopes for the Commonwealth, including issues surrounding expanded gambling and education.
Jane Beshear talks about the transition to first lady and what she hopes to accomplish in that position. The Beshears also share the story of how they met and discuss life on their farm with six horses, four dogs, and two cats.
