Judy Woodruff, political editor for PBS’s The NewsHour with Jim Lehrer, is the guest for this edition of One to One with Bill Goodman. Woodruff visited KET as the guest speaker at a dinner celebrating the network’s 40th anniversary.
Woodruff has covered politics and other news for more than three decades at CNN, NBC, and PBS. She served as an anchor and senior correspondent for CNN, anchoring its weekday political program, Inside Politics. At NBC News, Woodruff served as White House correspondent and chief Washington correspondent for The Today Show.
On One to One, Woodruff discusses the historic 2008 presidential election, including her experiences participating in PBS’s extensive coverage and her views on the media’s overall coverage. She also talks about career milestones, her life outside of journalism, and her goals for the future.
