Legislative Agenda for Thursday, March 6

Here are the meetings for Day 40 of the 2014 Regular Legislative Session that KET will broadcast live:
At 8:30 a.m., the House Appropriations and Revenue Committee convenes to review HB 396 to expand those manufacturers eligible for jobs retention projects under the Kentucky Jobs Retention Act; HB 407 to govern the financing of public-private partnerships; and HB 483 relating to economic development and economic revitalization projects.
At 10 a.m., the House Labor and Industry Committee meets to consider HB 419, which would exclude all educational buildings and facilities from meeting the requirements of the prevailing wage law; and HB 467 relating to notifications by the Department of Workers’ Claims.
Also at 10, the Senate Judiciary Committee convenes.
At noon, the House Health and Welfare Committee convenes to review HB 256, which would require the Cabinet for Health and Family Services to create and maintain an adult abuse registry; HB 411 relating to radon testing in child-care centers; HB 453 regarding oral health care; HB 460 relating to infection prevention at health care facilities; and SB 65 regarding the disclosure of a patient's mental health records.
Also at noon, the House State Government Committee meets to consider HB 26, which would make certain school employees eligible for the state-funded contribution towards a state health insurance plan; HB 374 relating to the sale of state park property; HB 390 to update the Executive Branch Code of Ethics; SB 4 relating to the Legislators’ Retirement Plan; and SB 142 to limit the spiking of state legislative and judicial retirement benefits.
At 2 p.m., the full House and full Senate convene in chambers.
