Kentucky Winners for the 14th Annual Young Writers and Illustrators Contest
National Contest
Our first-place winners go on to compete in the national contest, where the prizes include laptop computers, TVs, and MP3 players. Judging for the national competition takes place during May and June. Winners of this year’s national contest will be announced on the Reading Rainbow web site after August 1. Examples of stories from past years are also posted there.
KET and Reading Rainbow asked for original illustrated stories from Kentucky children in kindergarten through 3rd grade, and you sent us dozens of them! We are pleased to announce Kentucky’s first-place winners in the 14th Annual Reading Rainbow Young Writers and Illustrators Contest.
