Music executives and producers so loved the music from the film O Brother, Where Art Thou? that they brought it to life as a benefit concert for the Country Music Hall of Fame in May 2000. Taped at the historic Ryman Auditorium in Nashville, the performance is hosted by Holly Hunter and John Hartford and features Dr. Ralph Stanley, Emmylou Harris, Alison Krauss, Gillian Welch, Colin Linden, Norman Blake, and others. It was to be one of Hartford's last performances before he died of cancer.
