In 1979, two hikers in the Ojito Wilderness Area northwest of Albuquerque stumbled on four enormous and largely intact fossilized dinosaur bones. Over the next 25 years, researchers gradually unraveled the mystery of a previously unknown animal dubbed the Seismosaurus, or Earth-shaking lizard.
