The Sillers are a close-knit Staten Island family whose youngest brother, a firefighter, died in the terrorist attacks of September 11, 2001. To honor Stephen's sacrifice, his six older siblings founded the Tunnel-to-Towers Run, an annual road race that retraces the off-duty firefighter's route from the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel to the World Trade Center a mile and a half away.
