In this course for high school and college students and adult learners, 75 diverse elders relate their experiences and discuss the factors that affect quality of life in later years. The programs examine the four ways age is measured-chronologically, biologically, psychologically, and socially-and examine common misconceptions about aging, new roles for elders, intergenerational alliances, resource allocation, and artificial attempts to prolong life.
