Electronic Field Trip to the Mountain Homeplace

At the Mountain Homeplace, an interpretive working farm in Paintsville, reenactors show what life was like for settlers in the mid-19th century. This 1999 KET production, designed for upper elementary, middle, and high school students, explores what daily life was like in the era and how people crafted many necessities by hand. Topics include school and church customs, the work of blacksmiths and other artisans, folk dances and traditional music, and daily at-home chores.
