Electronic Field Trip to the Louisville Zoo

The Louisville Zoo staff and animals host a special behind-the-scenes tour for teachers and students. Interviews with animal ke'epers, trainers, veterinarians, and other zoo staff members cover such topics as how elephants, seals, tapirs, and tigers are trained to make their care easier for both people and animals; how a captive-breeding program has brought the black-footed ferret back from near extinction; how doctors work with exotic animals; and more. A 1998 KET production.
