The Gorilla Forest

The $15 million Gorilla Forest at the Louisville Zoo, opened to the public on May 23, 2002, covers four acres of land and includes five different types of grasses, representing a typical gorilla habitat in the tropical forest of west and central Africa. The initial occupants were three male and five female gorillas on loan from the Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago. A KET production.
