This drama for elementary and middle school students stars Molly, a young Russian Jewish girl who is constantly being teased for her ethnic mannerisms. Eager to belong and to adopt the customs of her new country, she is excited about going to her first American birthday party. But when her mother tells Molly about food restrictions during Passover and asks her not to eat any birthday cake, Molly must face the moral dilemma of choosing between upholding Jewish law and tradition or disobeying in order to fit in with the other children.
