Some of Atlanta's 20,000 Indian immigrants believe that the annual Miss India Georgia beauty pageant represents a surrender to the worst elements of American pop culture, while others see it as an emblem of the modern, enlightened, cosmopolitan lives that Indian Americans are free to live in their new land. This documentary goes behind the scenes to tell the stories of four contestants and explore what the pageant means to them.
