The Red Skelton Show

Richard Red Skelton is remembered and loved as the comedian whose family-oriented humor made millions laugh for more than 70 years. This series consists of episodes from the first two seasons (1951-1952) of Skelton's primetime series The Red Skelton Show. Each episode features monologues, pantomines, and sketches with such memorable characters as seagulls Gertrude and Heathcliffe, Clem Kadiddlehopper (the unsophisticated country boy), Willie Lump Lump (who is always drunk), San Fernando Red (the slightly dishonest politician), Deadeye (the sheriff who isn't always sure which side of the law he is on), Cauliflower McPugg (the punch drunk fighter), Junior-The Mean Widdle Kid (whose expression, I dood it! became a national expression), and Freddie the Freeloader (a loveable hobo who is also a not-too-successful pickpocket).
