Though best known as Thomas Edison's wife, Mina Miller Edison was a remarkable person in her own right. She sowed and tended impressive private and public gardens, including a showplace example at the Edisons' winter estate in Fort Myers, FL, and devoted herself to charity work that planted the seeds for growth, change, and beautification.
