A vivid account of a strike by Mexican-American migrant farmworkers in Raymondville, a small town nestled in the Rio Grande Valley, examines race, class, and corruption in south Texas. In 1979, a group of Mexican Americans-Raymondville's majority population-demonstrated their outrage at unequal treatment by protesting against the small but influential group of white farmers who controlled the town. Archival footage and interviews from townspeople on both sides of the story follow the struggle over the course of 20 years.
